acupuncture

What is it?

Acupuncture is a holistic, complementary therapy derived from ancient Chinese medicine. Fine needles are administered to certain points of the body to stimulate sensory nerves that promote healing powers or preventative measures for pain. It has been practiced for over five thousand years in China and here at the Penn Clinic we are glad to use it to help treat a multitude of medical conditions.

The most common conditions we treat are:

  • Stress

  • Panic attacks

  • Insomnia

  • Palpitations

  • Irritable bowel

  • Digestive problems

  • Tinnitus

  • Migraine

  • Back pain

  • Skin conditions

Patients who have never received acupuncture before are often pleasantly surprised at how little discomfort they experience.

Acupuncture has become a very popular therapy worldwide and over three thousand patients a year now receive acupuncture at the Penn clinic.
